Halloween

it's the last day of October! oh my, happy halloween everyone. kids been nagging me to carve a pumpkin this year (i did once a couple of years ago and they still remember it!). what with stuff happening this weekend totally forgot to buy a pumpkin - oh well, next year lah.

Wedding

got a call from a number i didn't recgonised two weeks ago (i think - can't remember now!) and i would normally not answer if i don't know the number but luckily i answered cause it was my girlfriend Ben (classmate since primary school). this was how the conversation went (more or less) -

Ben : A it's Ben here.
Me : hey Ben, how's it going?
Ben : i lost my old hp and just got your number from C. the reason i'm calling is to invite you to my kampung (Tenghilan) on the 31 Oct. the place is not too hard to find.
Me : oh....ok....what's on the 31st? anything special happening?
Ben : it's my wedding.
Me : *paused as was shocked to silence* you're pulling my leg right?
Ben : ah...no i'm not.
Me : *talking to myself* OMG i didn't just asked her that?!!
~ you can't blame me okay as i didn't know she was even dating anyone! ~

my girlfriend Angie (Ben called her too) and i decided to carpool. there was only the two of us as today Husband had to go clean his Dad's grave and the kids wanted to go play with the baby goats. it's my first time to Tenghilan - Husband said it wasn't that far only just after Tuaran. what the heck man - it was far lah! i'm glad i got to attend - i haven't seen Ben in years! she looked really good and love her wedding dress. my girlfriend Angie said "that's another spinster from the gang that has gotten married" - ha ha ha ha funny lah you woman.

yeah road trip!
got sawah padi next to the church
instead of the gongs they had the bamboo instruments - someone had passed away in the village and to respect the family in mourning - the gongs would have been too loud/noisy.
table with traditional food - first time i attend a reception that had four type of food served - malay, chinese, traditional and vegetarian
these guys sang acappella - was really surprise how good they were!
it rained on the way back to KK

much happiness to you Ben and Mick in your new life together and may God bless you with loads of kids!

Saturday Dinner

my Girl brought home a trophy on Monday - she won a math competition and as a reward she got to choose what she wanted for dinner today and it was no surprise (to me) that she chose Pizza Hut - she saw their new advertisement on extreme cheesy (six different type of cheese). i love cheese and my Daughter has inherited that from me.

Breakfast & Rugby

Husband finally got round to take us to try Mee Sup Pipin this morning. then it was off to Likas Stadium to watch more rugby. we were there by eleven and didn't leave till six thirty in the evening with the exception of sending the kids for their piano lesson. Husband's face was so red! i had slight sun burn on my chest and arms - i'm not pleased with it at all. yes, i did put sun block but didn't realise we were spending the whole day at the stadium. we went directly to dinner as kids were already tired and hungry (bad bad parents!).
