it's sad to see what soccer has become especially at this level. the referee was inconsistent the entire match - it's not that he favoured one team over another - it was just plain bad all round. since Brazil exited the world cup it really didn't matter to me who won till i saw that Dutch (De Jong) kung fu kick to the Spaniard's (Alonso) chest. WTF man that could have been fatal! i was shocked when the guy only got a yellow card for that. seriously if you want to play rough take up rugby lah or better yet martial art. i think everyone watching was frustrated and felt all the players frustration but to resort to ugly play was uncalled for. i'm not saying the Spaniard didn't have their questionable play/theatrics but they played a cleaner game than the Dutch. so that's why i'm happy that Spain won.
